Welcome in. Caturra Natural is a celebration of craftsmanship, where patience, experience, and the rhythms of nature come together to create a naturally processed coffee with remarkable complexity.

The Proof

Caturra Natural is grown by Ibis Garcia at Finca La Joya in Dipilto, Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua. Rather than removing the fruit immediately after harvest, the whole coffee cherry is dried slowly under the sun, allowing the seed to absorb the fruit’s natural sweetness.

The Cup

Natural processing gives this coffee its vibrant character. Notes of strawberry and coffee liqueur create a cup that is juicy, sweet, and layered with depth. The fruit shines without overpowering the coffee, revealing a balance that is both lively and elegant and reveals new layers of sweetness and fruit as it cools.

The Story

For Carlos, this coffee represents a deeper appreciation for the work that happens long before roasting begins. Learning to roast natural coffees meant learning to trust the farmer’s process as much as his own. The careful fermentation and drying remind him of how his grandparents once processed coffee by hand, relying on tradition instead of machinery. Every harvest is a testament to the knowledge, patience, and care that farmers like Ibis bring to every lot.

Best prepared as a pour-over or Aeropress. Caturra Natural rewards a slower, more intentional brew.
