Maragogype Natural & Washed Pair
Maragogype Natural & Washed Pair
"Primo Hermanos" is the same bean processed in 2 different ways: Natural and washed.
After picking, coffee beans are either dried "natural" in the cherry with the pulp & skin or the cherry is removed and the "washed" bean is dried. While the bean is the same varietal, the difference in processing and roasting offers a distinct difference. We're offering a special Primo Hermanos pairing of Natural and Washed Maragogype coffee.
Brew them next to each other for a tasting adventure to experience how differences in processing present these two coffee cousins in your cup.
Natural
The coffee cherries are dried in the sun, without removing the pulp. This process allows the beans to be in contact with the cherry's mucilage and sugars for a longer time, which results in a unique flavor.
TASTING NOTES: Honeydew, Graham Cracker
Washed
The coffee cherries are de-pulped to remove the fruit from the bean, then dried. This process results in coffee with flavors that are more inherent to the bean itself.
TASTING NOTES: Apricot, Molasses, Cacao
